The creation of a "joke"

"Hey buddy, I don't mean to say your dog is fat but if it were on an all dog football team, it would be a wide retriever!"

Yes I made this up :) I do so enjoy a one-liner that you can tell to your kids, don't you?

I was out playing ball with Storm this morning. I don't know where things like this come from with me. Storm isn't fat or anything of the sort. I just remember throwing the ball, thinking the word "retriever" and suddenly this joke just pranced (er ... strutted manly-like) out of the swirling fog in my widdle brain.
